A Regulation-First Approach
We believe regulation is the foundation for learning, connection and independence. When a child’s nervous system feels safe and supported, they can more easily engage, develop new skills and fully participate in the world around them.
What a Session Looks Like
Step 1: Connect and Prepare
Build rapport, check in, and help the child transition into the session.
Step 2: Support Regulation
Use individualized sensory and movement activities when appropriate to support readiness for participation.
Step 3: Build Targeted Skills
Practice goals through movement, play, fine motor activities, and functional tasks.
Step 4: Connect to Everyday Life
Share observations and strategies that may help families carry skills into daily routines.

What Families Are Saying
“As a mental health practitioner, I refer my clients to Sensory Pathways 4 Kids before any other OT practice. I experienced firsthand their knowledge and professionalism while seeking services for my own children 7 years ago. Sensory Pathways helps parents establish the structure and routine of movement necessary at home and at school for sensory kids to be the most successful they can be. SO grateful for their commitment and compassion for these children.”

“Sensory Pathways is an incredible place that really looks at what kids are really struggling with; not just immediately assuming the typical ADHD diagnosis that has become so popular and overused. My daughter has sensory processing disorder and was struggling in her everyday life. Her therapist has listened to us and has taken an approach to treatment that works for our family and is also the best for our daughter. They are compassionate and really care about her wellbeing. It’s not your typical OT, it’s comprehensive and effective!”

“Our daughter started seeing Amy a few years ago for sensory processing and what Amy taught her/us, was life-changing. In a short period of time, we went from not being able to settle before bedtime and the process taking 2+ hours, to her asking to go to bed and telling us to leave the room because she was tired. No more getting out of bed 20+ times a night. During school, any loud sounds, assemblies, etc. were very difficult for our daughter. In 2 years time, she went from needing to stay in the classroom during these times because it’s where she felt safest, to attending and enjoying assemblies. We are taking a break for the summer due to scheduling and we see a huge difference with not being with Amy every week so we will be back asap :)”

“Sensory Pathways 4 Kids is my ASD/ADHD son’s second occupational therapy location, and I am so thrilled with the progress he made with them. We weren’t sure if OT was making a difference at his other location, but here we are 100% sure it made a difference! He reached all of his goals and gained so much freedom from and abilities to cope with his sensory difficulties. Becky was amazing, very patient, knowledgeable, had excellent communication, and always gave insightful feedback and suggestions. She was very accommodating with our schedule changes as well. Neurodiversity is a hard road, and we found real help and hope here.”
